Skistar reports that the booking situation at the end of September was 15 percent better than the same time last year. Pressure on booking winter holidays in the mountains until the winter has remained high during the month of October.

- It may seem paradoxical, given the economic situation, but the figures suggest that the declining economy and a weaker exchange rate favors the Swedish mountain industry, says Mathias Lindström, marketing and sales manager at Skistar.
He also thinks that it is a known fact that the Swedes have a special relationship with their winter in the mountains.
- Mountain Vacation is probably a little sacred. The priority is. Those who go to the mountains can also choose a vacation that fits their own economy with a variety of accommodation, eating out or cook the food yourself and choose what activities they want to afford, says Lindstrom.
The weakening of the krona has also given a clear impact on the international bookings with increased demand from England, Holland and Russia. Foreign visitors get more for their money when they are vacationing in Sweden.
But it shows that even said positive developments on the domestic market. With weaker crown Swedes get the most for the money if they stay in their homeland.
